Headache From Hell!

Just when I thought it was safe to act normal again I got slammed with a fierce headache as I awoke yesterday. At first I thought it was just a 'lack of coffee' headache ~ but later in the morning my vision started to blur and I felt the all too familiar pains of a fierce Chiari headache and a migraine brewing.

I still had some heavy duty migraine medicine so I took that naively thinking that would calm the beast. Long story short, the migraine medicine didn't do anything but make me feel loopy. I was curled up in a fetal position most of the day ~ wanting to die. What had I done to bring on a headache like that???? By the time John came home from work I was in tears and suddenly remembered that I had Morphine! So I took some and about an hour later the headache was beginning to diminish. The Morphine left me feeling super loopy and nauseated! So ~ yesterday ~ not so good ~ I am hoping for a much better day today!

I had my surgery in 2000 and 2001. I thought that I was the only one living in this "hell" I use ice on my head when I have my headache. I just got over a six day headache. I find strength in steven curtis chapman music and prayer.

I relate to that picture!
Just an aside on headaches if I haven't told you already. There is a pressure point in the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger. You will know that you are squeezing the right area because it hurts (and your head doesn't). lol.
Seriously though, apply pressure until the pain disappears, then let go. If it returns do it again.
Believe me, it helps ease (if not get rid of) your headache
Feel better!!!!

I just checked your blog--I had a few minutes off from all my auction work and was so sorry to hear you were having a bad day. You're in my prayers,

Lace, please ask your doctor for a script for a good anti nausea drug. Sharon and I are relying on these to get through many days. Please don't suffer. It really pained me to hear you got naue=seated, that is almost worse to me than pain. Thank you for your advice about the tethered cord, You hit a nail directly on the head! Sharon needs to be investigated for this. soon. Love Bobby

Hope you head is better Lace. I'm glad to hear you had something that could give you some measure of relief. I hope this was just a temporary thing.

I find it frustrating too when all of a sudden you will get such severe symptoms and you can't think of a single thing that you did that could have brought it on. Another one of the mysteries of these disorders I guess.

hugs and prayers,

Caroline
